IIT Roorkee has officially released the JEE Advanced 2026 response sheet today at 5 PM. If you appeared for the exam on May 17, this is your first opportunity to review every answer you marked — and estimate your score before results drop on June 1.
What is the JEE Advanced response sheet?
The response sheet is an official, computer-generated record of every answer you submitted during Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2026. It is not just a summary — it shows your exact responses, question by question, across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Think of it as your personal exam transcript. When the provisional answer key releases on May 25, you can place both documents side by side, verify each response, and arrive at a reliable score estimate well before the official result.
Key dates at a glance

How to download your response sheet
The process is straightforward and takes under two minutes. Follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the official candidate portal at cportal.jeeadv.ac.in from any browser.
- Log in using your registration number, date of birth, and registered mobile number.
- Click on the “Response Sheet” link in your candidate dashboard.
- Your response sheet for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will load as a PDF. Download and save it immediately.
- Compare your responses with the answer key on May 25 to calculate your expected score.
How to use the response sheet effectively
Downloading the sheet is only the first step. Here is how to make the most of it once you have it:
- Cross-check every response – Mark each question as correct, incorrect, or unattempted against the answer key once it releases.
- Calculate your raw score – Use the official JEE Advanced marking scheme — different question types carry different marks and penalties.
- Spot discrepancies – If any response on the sheet does not match what you recall marking, file an objection before May 26 at 5 PM.
- Analyse your performance –Identify which subjects and topics cost you the most marks — a useful starting point for future preparation.
Can you challenge the recorded responses?
The response sheet itself shows what the computer system recorded during your exam. If you believe a question was incorrectly presented or the answer key is wrong, you can raise a formal objection through the official portal. The window for objections closes on May 26, 2026 at 5 PM. No requests will be entertained after this deadline, so act promptly if you spot an issue.
It is worth noting that the response sheet reflects your submitted answers — it cannot be corrected for any input you made during the exam. Objections apply to the answer key and question paper, not to your recorded responses.
What comes next — result on June 1
Once the objection window closes, IIT Roorkee will review all challenges, finalise the answer key, and publish the official JEE Advanced 2026 result on June 1, 2026 at approximately 10 AM at jeeadv.ac.in. Rank cards will be available for download immediately after the result is declared.
For admission eligibility, remember that a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Class 12 boards is required for IIT, NIT, IIIT, and GFTI admissions through JoSAA counselling, regardless of your JEE Advanced rank.
